From cassette decks to turntables, and from crates of LPs dug out of Cheapo, Wide Angle and Let It Be Records in downtown Minneapolis — that's where this started.
80s synth pop turned into Chicago house and Detroit techno, and raves started popping up all over the city. The music, the lights, the energy — that stuck. A stint as a radio DJ at WMMR followed, but talking to a soundproof wall was never the point. The station's parties were. Facing a crowd instead of a wall, with rave-scene lighting and non-radio club music, is where it clicked.
Not the DJ for requests, pop, country or swing. This is club music, mashups and remixes you won't hear anywhere else, with lasers and lights moving around the room. Always digging for new music, always hunting the beat or the lyric that connects with the crowd.
